Sarrita Hunn is an interdisciplinary artist, editor, critic, curator and web developer whose often collaborative practice focuses on the culturally, socially and politically transformative potential of artist-centered activity.

She is co-founder/editor of Temporary Art Review, an online platform for contemporary art criticism that focuses on alternative spaces and critical exchange among disparate art communities; artistic coordinator for Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Art, a nomadic and intensive summer academy with shifting programs in contemporary critical theory that stress an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the relationship between art and politics; managing editor of artbrain.org (Journal of Neuroaesthetics and Chaoid Gallery); and a freelance web developer and designer.

Additionally, she is a founding member and co-chair of Liebe Chaos Verein, a Berlin-based nonprofit association that supports activities that encourage responsibility, criticality, equality, and solidarity, with a focus on chaos, failure, decentralisation and self-organisation; and founding member of Cypher Sex, an activist collective with a kink for offering digital security workshops, consultations and manuals for sex-positive queer communities and sex workers around Berlin and beyond.

MARCH

Emerging out of our previous project Temporary Art Review, MARCH is a journal of art and strategy that will launch in early 2020 as an online and print publishing platform engaging the social, political, and institutional urgencies of our time. MARCH will act as a gathering place for expansive thinking towards other art worlds, mapping global perspectives, and offering a site for deep and embodied institutional thinking.

Strategies for digital self-defense @ 22nd international WomenLesbianTrans*-Inter BDSM conference

Workshop presentation with Cypher Sex Collective.

Description: In this workshop, we will learn a lot about technology and how the internet operates, but more importantly, how to protect ourselves against potential stalkers, hackers and haters. We will discuss how to manage and protect our identities, our computers, and our phones when using the internet, social networks, and other online platforms. We will map out our life spheres based on levels of trust, and discuss strategies to isolate our most sensitive identities and online activities to protect them from the most common threats.

Internet Freedom Festival > Hacking//Hustling

Cypher Sex Collective will be heading to Valencia, Spain for this year’s Internet Freedom Festival to join Hacking//Hustling for a two-day gathering. Each year, the IFF brings together those who defend digital rights around the world – journalists, activists, technologists, policy advocates, digital safety trainers, designers, and this year, sex workers. Hacking//Hustling is a collective of sex workers and allies working at the intersection of technology and social justice formed in response to SESTA-FOSTA. Hacking//Hustling started as a partnership with Eyebeam to host A Platform for Sex Workers in a Post-SESTA World, and now will be leading a 2-day village at IFF.
